Today’s headlines do contain some good news. You may have to search a little harder, but good things are happening in the world.
There is, however, one timeless headline that contains the best news ever written…
How is the Gospel “Good News?” Isn’t it just an old-fashioned, out-of-date message?
Good questions to ask, but no, it isn’t outdated in the least.
> Every person has this thing about them…a way of messing up…a lot. This thing is called ‘sin.’ It resides in every single person, no matter how good they seem.
> Sin actually separates us from God. Like a wide chasm, it forms a void that we cannot close on our own, no matter what.
> Because of God’s great love for every person, He made a Way.
> That Way is Jesus Christ.
> By believing that Jesus died on a cross for your sins, and the sins of the whole world, that He rose again three days later, and that He is coming back again, you are embracing the best news of all time.
The Gospel of God is not only the best news you will ever read or hear, it is news that can change your life forever.
Still not sure? Here are some questions to ask yourself.

> Can’t I bridge the gap between me and God all on my own?
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Perhaps you’re in a place where you feel like you are living a pretty darn good life. You don’t steal, or hurt anybody. You pay your bills and wave to your neighbors. But you know what?
“All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
Do you find that offensive? Please don’t. I am right there with you…a sinner.
And that’s why we need a Savior! Someone to save us from trying to do everything right and failing…again.
