I Have a Feeling Things are About to Change

I have a feeling things are about to change.

I’ve spent the last several weeks seeking and listening. Trying to figure some things out. One of the beautiful things that kept coming to mind was the phrase…glory of God.

What is the glory of God?

His character, His presence, His completeness as Father, Son and Spirit…I could go on and on. And I ask myself…what would it mean to rise in the morning for the glory of God? Eat and drink for the glory of God? Live and move and love for the glory of God?

(find out more here.)

The bottom line is, we have an amazing life. Not because we are so amazing. But because we were created by an amazing God! And what makes our lives on earth so great is that we get to know Him and make Him known. Love Him and love others with His great love. It doesn’t get more amazing than that!

Once, when I was a little girl about the age of 4, I thought I heard the voice of God. Unbeknownst to me it was just an intercom system at a nearby power plant. But my tiny mind was convinced it was the Lord, (which is funny since I wasn’t raised in a Christian home.)

Now, at age 44, I have no doubt that God was pursuing me. From the time He began forming me and breathing life into my tiny lungs, He was knocking on my heart and whispering to my soul. And He continues to knock on my heart and whisper wonderful things to my soul. Every single day. I love Him. I adore Him. I need Him. As I write, I ask, will this post bring Him glory? Will it point to Him?

I have a feeling things are about to change.

For the good. That in the middle of all the chaos, darkness and uncertainty, His glory will rise. Like the morning sun in its brilliance, The Lord will come for His people. Until then, I seek to live for Him alone. In the quietness of my soul, in the busyness of my day, in words spoken and unspoken. Let the glory of the Lord rise among us!

Wherever you are today, whatever you are facing, my prayer for you is that you will seek the God who made you. That you will ask for Him, watch for Him, recognize Him…

Always and email away,

Jennifer

YES! I am so grateful that I have experience God pursuing me in the last weeks, as I’ve stopped long enough to recognize His voice and His arms open to me. Thank you for the words of encouragement.
